The ranking of the greatest films in cinema history is an
indisputable process, because of the different tastes and constant
developments in the film industry.
However, the American “Points Prizes” has drawn up a list of the best
films in history, taking into account the different bases of evaluation
between critics and the public. To include as many films as possible
that are beyond dispute.
1. The Shawshank Redemption
A short novel by Frank Darabont, directed and written by him about a
successful banker sentenced to life in prison for murdering his wife
and lover, but still hopeful of his innocence, the film that received 7

looks modern and smooth. It is also an example of how to make a great
movie with a low budget – $35,000, and it has nominated for three
academic awards (best film, best director and best quote scenario), but
none of them has won.
4. Whiplash
“whiplash” left a strong impression that is difficult to ignore,
issued in 2014 and succeeded in winning 3 Oscar prizes out of 5
nominations, telling the story of a young man who tries to join the
music team in his school, so he has to exert a great effort to improve
and develop. It also collides with a tough coach, which will force him

5. Citizen Kane
In 1941, Orson Wells performed a historical work when he went out,

living far away in Britain with her own family. The wife suffers from a
stroke, and the love relationship between the couple is tested.
The Austrian film won the Oscar for the best film in foreign
language, and received 4 nominations, including the Best Music Film
Award.
8. Casablanca
He went out to light in December 1941, and the film’s events are
taking place in Morocco, where he meets a former American grandeur, and a
series of unexpected events, ending with one of the most famous love
stories in the 20th century, where the hero’s phrase of his beloved “We
will always stay in Paris?” Romantic movie lovers will stay in their
love.
9. Eyes Wide Shut
The film is directed by Stanley Kubrick, one of the best directors in
cinema history, Tom Cruise’s and Nicole Kidman’s heroism, telling the
story of a New York City doctor who is throwing himself into strange and
dangerous worlds after he met an old friend who works as a pianist at
suspicious parties, and the film is considered one of the best works of
Cobrick.
