Messi generously donates to fight Corona

Argentinean Lionel Messi, the Spanish leader of Barcelona, joined the charitable campaigns that aim at helping the societies to face the effects of Corona virus, which Europe and the rest of the world suffer.

The official account of Barcelona Hospital published on Twitter, a tweet in which it stated: “Lionel Messi has donated to confront the Corona virus, thank you Leo for your support and solidarity.”
According to the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Messi donated €1 million, part of which will be directed to one of Barcelona’s hospitals, while the other part will go to another medical center in Argentina.
This amount will enable medical centers to purchase the tools necessary to deal with the large number of patients, who flow to hospitals to treat the impact of this epidemic. That appeared in China before the end of last year.
A number of players and clubs have launched campaigns aimed at helping those affected by the global epidemic.
It is mentioned that fears of the spread of Corona virus caused the suspension of sports activity in different countries in the world, besides postponing several local and continental championships. The most prominent of which are Euro 2020, Cuba America 2020 and Tokyo Olympiad, until next year.
